Slate Reports HHS to Reallocate Nearly $100 Million to the Office of Refugee Resettlement
WASHINGTON, D.C. (July 11, 2018) - The ADAP Advocacy Association (aaa+®) today cautioned against any attempt by the Trump Administration to divert funding from the Ryan White HIV/AIDS program to the ongoing efforts to separate children from their parents at the US-Mexican border. In a breaking news report, Slate revealed that the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services ("HHS") would reallocate $79 million in funding from various HHS agencies and programs – including the Ryan White HIV/AIDS program - over to the department’s Office of Refugee Resettlement.

The Proposed Rule on "Moral Exemptions & Accommodations for Coverage of Certain Preventive Services Under the Affordable Care Act" Harkens Back to the Dark, Early Days of the AIDS Epidemic
WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 20, 2018) - It is the position of the ADAP Advocacy Association (aaa+®) and the Community Access National Network (CANN) that the proposed changes put forth by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) are unacceptable, at best, and unconscionable, at worst. People living with HIV/AIDS have been down this path, before; our community refuses to go down this path, again.

Leadership position in the fight against HIV/AIDS has remained vacant for over one year
WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 1, 2018) - The ADAP Advocacy Association, also known as aaa+®, today called on the newly minted Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (“HHS”) to appoint a director at the Office of National AIDS Policy (“ONAP”). Amy Lansky, ONAP's last-serving director, stepped down one year ago, thus leaving the office without its necessary leadership.
